KDE's latest major update to its Applications and Development Platform is now available in Chakra.
The biggest change in this release is the introduction of the next generation Semantic search, in other words the move from nepomuk to baloo. This move should not cause any issues since we will continue to provide nepomuk alongside baloo, for the packages that haven't been ported to the new engine yet. Have in mind that this upgrade requires an one-time database migration that will take a few minutes of increased processing power.
In addition, the linux-lts (long term support kernel) package has been updated to version 3.2.57, the calligra suite to 2.8.2 and wxgtk to 3.0.0.
